What is a Reverse Pulse Cartridge Dust Collector?

What is a Reverse Pulse Cartridge Dust Collector?

A Reverse Pulse Cartridge Dust Collector is a type of air filtration system that utilizes a series of cylindrical cartridges to capture and remove dust and other airborne particles from an industrial or commercial environment. This free-standing dust collector is used for extended blasting operations, multiple guns, or multiple machine operation and or multiple daily shifts. Under these conditions, the reduced maintenance and increased daily operation provided by these dust collectors result in a big boost in production output.

ProTip: One of the biggest benefits of a Reverse-Pulse Cartridge Dust Collector is that it removes the sandblasting cabinet operator from the daily cleaning cycle for the blast cabinet.

Standing-out features of Reverse Pulse Cartridge Dust Collector

  1. The vertical filters in Media Blast’s Reverse Pulse Cartridge Dust Collector, are built for sandblasting applications. Some blast cabinet manufacturers use horizontal filters, but the Air Pollution Agencies favors vertical filters for sand blasting cabinets to gain the advantage of gravity during automatic reverse pulse cleaning.
  2. The automatic-timed-reverse-pulse cleaning cycle by Media Blast® is pulse time adjustable and this dust collector also includes the manual reverse pulse cleaning controls allowing filter cleaning with the blower on or off at any time.
  3. Buyers can add an optional Negative Pressure HEPA After Filter to increase filter efficiency. This is especially common for Cell Operation.

ProTip: If the dust collector includes the HEPA After Filter, the additional external static pressure of the HEPA Filter is added to the operation of the dust collector. So, the 2 hp blower would normally be a 3 hp blower and the 3 hp blower would normally be a 5 hp blower assembly.

To Sum It Up

For some applications there is no beating a Reverse Pulse Cartridge Dust Collector. This must be considered in situations where extended blasting operations, multiple guns, or multiple machine operations and or multiple daily shifts are required.
