Downdraft Work Tables

Media Blast & Abrasive’s line of Tornado downdraft work tables is designed for pollution control from grinding, sanding, and deburring normally using a central dust collector. These machines protect the operator and surrounding equipment from free floating debris. Tornado workstation unlike the Tornado Work Bench do not include an internal dust collector, but they do include the collection hopper, hopper attachment outlet for connection to a central dust collector and other great features like lighting, work grates and airflow direction.

ProTip: Consider downdraft workstations as a complete work bench less dust collector. Using a separate location for the dust collector and adding a spark arrester opens the use to additional applications.

Tornado downdraft work tables are great for controlling almost any kind of nuisance dust created as a byproduct of grinding, sanding, and deburring. We strongly recommend them when you want to protect the operator from free floating dust or want to protect expensive machines in the area that operate using air intake for cooling heat sinks. Protecting the operator is 1st, protection of the surrounding equipment is 2nd.  Another great benefit can be lower insurance rates due to a cleaner work area.

Four Benefits of Downdraft Work Tables

  1. Superior collection of debris from grinding, sanding, and deburring when used with a large central dust collector.
  2. Tornado units are portable, compact and cost effective solutions to costly custom-built workstations
  3. Offered with and without enclosed tops to meet the needs of any application
  4. Tornado work tables are totally self-contained less the customer supplied dust collector.
