The Blizzard Stage III direct pressure soda blaster is made with 100% welded 12- and 14-gauge cold rolled steel. The Blizzard design pre-collects the used soda before it enters the dust collector and stores it contained in an outside drum. 90% of the used soda never reaches the dust collector making the dust collector size nine times larger. This sets the Blizzard apart as one of the best soda blasters on the market.
The Blizzard Stage III is the most advanced soda blasting MediaBlaster® available today. Look to the Cobra Stage I and N-200 Stage II for less costly design that still pre-separate the used soda based on daily machine duty cycle.
The Blizzard Stage III Soda Blaster Machine is designed for Production capacity applications requiring bicarbonate (baking Soda) and wheat starch abrasives using 12 to 40 CFM of compressed air. Baking Soda abrasives typically don't alter the surface of the substrate being cleaned and they also have the unique ability to be soluble in almost all fluids eliminating contamination.
Dust collector maintenance and cabinet visibility are two common complaints that occur when using soda blasters. The Blizzard machine solves these problems with its unique used soda pre-separator system and automatic timed reverse pulse easy cleaning dust collector while in operation that also include manual pulse override controls and pneumatic vibrator cleaning cycle when not operating. 14 to 35 cfm at 60 psi using a 1/8″ or 3/16″ ID nozzle size
The standard suggested nozzle size for the Blizzard is 3/16″ ID using 40 cfm at 80 psi. Soda is best when delivered in very small amounts, flooding the soda delivery can slow down the cleaning process.
Pro Tip: Never buy a compressor using the displacement cfm number, always use the second cfm volume number listed with 90-100 psi inside the tank, because tank pressure reduces performance.
