The 3030 Savage direct pressure sandblasting cabinet comes equipped with a very large 700 cfm exhaust blower and *patented separator reclaimer. It also includes the negative pressure 110 sq.ft. MERV tested cartridge filtration with hopper dust storage and semi-automatic vibrator cleaning cycle found on the Production Charger Model. For smaller areas, the optional blower silencer can be added to reduce the noise level to below OSHA standards.
The 3030 Savage Direct Pressure Blast Cabinet is designed to operate using smaller air compressors running on 220-volt single-phase electrical power and the pressure abrasive feed system. This is the electrical power found in home garages and commercial boulevard facilities. It's great for facilities that don’t have access to three phase electrical power to operate large air compressors. The 3030 Savage has the correct abrasive flow controls for the smaller air volumes and the cabinet size, while compact, is actually very large.
The 3030 Savage is also a constant pressure design that holds the pot pressure until the operator decide it’s time to fill the pot assembly. This results in instant on-off control of the direct pressure blasting cycle controlled by the blasting pedal, and fast pressure pot re-loading using less compressed air.
Most abrasives, when using direct pressure, reach maximum impact velocity at a much lower pressure than other abrasive delivery methods. Glass beads have a maximum impact velocity of 40 psi when using direct pressure. Harder abrasive like aluminum oxide have a maximum impact velocity of 50 to 60 psi. This Mediablaster® can be shipped with 1/8” nozzle or 3/16” nozzle depending on how much compressed air you have and the type of abrasive you plan to use. The 1/8” nozzle uses 12 cfm at 50 psi and the 3/16” nozzle uses 23 cfm at 40 psi. The 3/16” nozzle is a great choice for glass bead blasting. Choose the nozzle size right for your smaller air compressor or have the machine shipped with both sizes.

We recommend a 220-volt single-phase electrical power supply for the air compressor. Pro Tip: Never buy a compressor using the displacement cfm number, always use the second cfm volume number listed with 90-100 psi inside the tank, because tank pressure reduces performance.
