The Shop Standard is a dry, siphon, R&D blast cabinet made from 100% welded 12- and 14-gauge cold rolled steel. It's available in 4 standard sizes to accommodate a variety of applications and operates with a 5/16" 25 cfm gun size for faster part processing when daily operation is not needed or required.
The Shop Standard blast cabinet uses a cabinet design from the more costly Industrial Production line of machinery with a smaller, non-production tubular bag dust collector to reduce cost associated with the 2.0 model.
Should your application require a large blast cabinet, fully loaded machine features, and 22-25 cfm of compressed air, but not the industrial dust collector design used on the 2.0, the Shop Standard is the answer.
This blast cabinet model comes with internal abrasive storage, *patented separator reclaimer, positive pressure tubular dust collector bag, and many other included standard features that outperforms competitor’s mediablasters.
This is the original Shop Standard, one of Media Blasts’ first models introduced in 1977. The new, redesigned 2.0 model, also listed and shown, debuted in 2018 with an advanced negative pressure cartridge filtration dust collector design used in all Media Blast® siphon and direct pressure Industrial Production blasting cabinets. Due to popular demand, we included the Shop Standard back into the machinery lineup.
The Shop Standard MediaBlaster® saves you money by using the tubular dust bag. These blasting cabinets are larger – deeper, wider and taller – and come fully loaded with machine features. The Shop Standard gets you one step closer to Industrial sandblasting equipment and construction without the Production machine cost.

We recommend a 220-volt single-phase electrical power supply for the air compressor. Pro Tip: Never buy a compressor using the displacement cfm number; always use the second cfm volume number listed with 90-100 psi inside the tank, because tank pressure reduces performance.
