Description:

The Hurricane Wet Blast Machine uses a sealless slurry pump to agitate the abrasive and water into a slurry mixture. The slurry mixture is then pumped to the abrasive blast gun where air pressure, accelerates the mixture to the desired pressure rating. The cabinet Exhaust Blower and filter maintain a negative cabinet pressure, which prevents the abrasive mist from escaping the system. During operation, the fresh water timed window rinse assembly, provides continuous operator visibility through the view window. The cabinet light is located outside the blast cabinet and light enters the cabinet through a window located on top of the unit. We offer the Hurricane machine in seven cabinet sizes and all seven are constructed using 12 and 14 gauge 304 stainless steel.

All parts that come in contact with the abrasive slurry mixture are constructed using 304 stainless steel material, with the exception of the sealless slurry pump, cast iron housing and brass impeller.

While most applications today require dry blasting, there is still a need, for wet blasting machinery like the Hurricane. Chemically clean surface requirements, critical plating and electrical components just to name a few.

Compressor:	Standard nozzle size on all Hurricane models is a 5/16" nozzle using 32 cfm @ 80 psi.  A larger 3/8" nozzle can be substituted using 46 cfm @ 80 psi, Compressors vary greatly, check specification on your compressor for HP and or CFM output.  A general rule for piston air compressors would be 4 cfm for each motor horse power, for more information on compressor selection see Air Basics.

Warning:	NEVER USE A POOR QUALITY LOW RECYCLE ABRASIVE OR SILICA SAND IN ANY MEDIA BLAST EQUIPMENT. THE RAPID AND CONTINUOUS BREAKDOWN OF POOR QUALITY ABRASIVES, WILL REDUCE CABINET VISIBILITY AND OVERLOAD THE DUST COLLECTOR ON ANY BLASTING MACHINE. SILICA SAND CAN BE A HEALTH HAZARD WHEN USED IN ANY BLASTING CABINET AND THE USE OF SILICA SAND VOIDS THE WARRANTY ON ALL MEDIA BLAST EQUIPMENT.
