Description:
The Blizzard Soda Blast Machine is a medium to high Production machine designed specifically for operation with bicarbonate (baking Soda) and wheat starch abrasives. Baking soda abrasives typically don’t alter the surface of the substrate being blasted and they also have the unique ability to remove oil and grease contaminants from the parts. Superior visibility is a hallmark feature of this system.
All Blizzard machines come complete, minus the optional soda abrasive delivery system. This allows for the purchase of the machine to correct conditions that may already exist in your current soda operation. Dust collector maintenance and cabinet visibility are two difficult conditions that often cause problems when using soda. In addition, the Blizzard can be purchased with the optional Direct Pressure Soda delivery system, this creates a complete soda blasting system.
The Media Blast high efficiency negative pressure Cyclone separator is what prevents the soda from entering the dust collector by diverting the used soda into a contained storage container.
If you have an existing operation using a soda blast machine and you are having problems with cabinet visibility, or dust collector issues, you can purchase the Blizzard machine for use with your existing delivery system, to correct these issues. If you want to replace your existing system or you are starting out new, you can purchase the Blizzard with the optional soda delivery system for the complete package.

| Compressor: | Blizzard machines are listed
with an optional soda delivery system. The compressed
air usage is based on the customer supplied soda delivery system
and ID nozzle size. Soda is not delivered in large
quantities and the soda flow should be greatly reduced
over normal abrasive flow. We recommend a 1/8" or
3/16" ID nozzle for operation with any Blizzard machine. Soda can also etch at higher pressures, see Compressed Air Usage found in the Technical Library and use the Pressure Blast CFM Chart and refer to the nozzle ID and blasting pressure being used for accurate CFM usage.
