The Power Peen Production Pressure Blast uses a large 1.0 cubic foot capacity pressure vessel or pressure pot to pneumatically push the abrasive to the part using the nozzle size to determine the compressed air usage. Because the blast nozzle is the air orifice and abrasive occupies space inside the nozzle, the pressure machines require less cfm to create the same abrasive velocity during operation. Direct pressure machines produce faster abrasive particle velocity, higher abrasive grain density on the part and greater abrasive frictional heat. In addition, they will operate with the heaviest of blast media, steel shot and steel grit.
