Wet machines eliminate frictional heat
that can damage certain materials, in addition wet machines
can operate with ultra fine abrasives i.e. 4000 mesh. Chemically
clean part surfaces can be achieved using a wet machine.
A slurry pump is used to suspend the abrasive and pump
abrasive to the blast gun where compressed air accelerates
the mixture.

Dry abrasive blast machines are the
most common using frictional heat to produce a much faster
part-cleaning rate. They require additional selections for
abrasive delivery type, machine duty cycle, abrasive size
usage and final cabinet sizing.
