Siphon (aka suction) blast cabinets are the most common type of abrasive delivery system sold in the market today.

Inherent advantages over pressure systems include wider blast pattern, ease of operation and lack of machine maintenance.

When using the same volume of compressed air the siphon blast will outperform the direct pressure because the siphon blaster can operate continuously without stopping.

Siphon blast, depending on duty cycle, can be the least expensive to purchase and operate.

Direct Pressure machines use a Pressure Pot to pneumatically push the abrasive during the blasting process. Direct Pressure machines can operate with very large and very heavy abrasives, i.e. steel shot and steel grit.

Direct Pressure machine can also be used to push abrasive into blind hole cavities and through internal passages.

Direct Pressure machines create the fastest abrasive velocity and the greatest frictional heat during processing.

Strongly recommended for difficult coating removal, heavy abrasives and I.D. hole cleaning.
